Willard M. Miller
2017-03-09

            Willard M. Miller, 79, of Zionsville, died on Wednesday, March 8,

2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Geiger) Miller. The couple celebrated 59 years of marriage on November 23.

             Born in Zionsville, he was the son of the late Otto S. and Beulah (Batman) Miller. He was a graduate of Upper Perkiomen School District, Class of 1955, was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Zionsville.

            Willard was a carpenter by trade, working for different companies in the Lehigh Valley and retiring from International Custom Homes. Prior to his carpentry career he worked at The Boyertown Casket Company. He was a Lifetime Member, former Assistant Chief and held various elected positions at the Upper Milford Western District Fire Company #19.

            Willard coached baseball for many years with the Upper Milford Youth Association, was a member of the Grundsow Lodge and headed several clubs. He enjoyed woodworking, model trains, crocheting and spending time with his family.

            Survivors: Wife; Children, Diane L. Simmons and her husband Carl of Boyertown, Dale A. Miller and his wife Lyn Nicolette of Emmaus and Scott D. Miller and his wife Tina Marie of Steinsburg; Sister, Pauline Fritz; Grandchildren, Stacey (Simmons) Schmale and her husband Joshua, Kyle Simmons and fiancé Erica Joyce, Jessica (Miller) Smith and her husband Peter and Andrew Miller and his wife Andrea (Skovira); Great-Grandchildren Liliana and Landon Smith and Avery and Aiden Miller; and Grandpuppy, Skedaddle.

            Services: A Celebration of Life will be held at Noon on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Upper Milford Western District Fire Company, 6341 Chestnut Street, Zionsville, PA 18092. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to Noon on Saturday in the fire company. Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.

            Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Upper Milford Western District Fire Company.
