Feasterville Company Handling Records from Pennsburg Pediatrician
A Feasterville data management company is handling the records for patients of Personal Care Pediatrics, located at 925 Main Street in Pennsburg.
Resource Data Management, Inc. has already received 500 requests for records, according to company President John Yorty. He said that once it gains access to the patient information, it will be disseminated.
"We don't own the records," Yorty said last week. "We are acting as a conduit."
According to Yorty, the records company recently reached an agreement with the executor of the estate for Dr. David S. Kennedy, 48, who died in Montgomery County jail on Dec. 18 after his arrest on charges of possessing child pornography three weeks earlier.
The estate did not have immediate access to the electronic records stored on two separate third party servers, according to Yorty. He said since that issue has been solved, the company should have access within approximately two weeks.
The records will be copied onto a USB drive and delivered to each requesting patient, according to Yorty.
"This whole process would be a whole lot easier if they were paper," he said.
A copy of the "Authorization to Release and Disclose Patient Information" form is available by selecting this link – AUTHORIZATION FORM.
Patients requesting records should complete and fax this form to 215-953-0527. Each patient will be billed $30, according to Yorty.
"This is an unusual situation," he said. "We'll do the best we can for everyone. It's going to take a little bit of time."
