Anna M. Leister
2017-01-24

            Anna M. Leister, 90, of Millsboro, DE, formerly of East Greenville, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at her residence in Delaware.  She was the beloved wife of the late Russel A. Leister who died in 1992.

            Born in Ambler, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Snyder) Hoepfl.

            She was employed as an assembly supervisor for Knoll, International in East Greenville, PA, for 15 years prior to her retirement in 1980.

            Mrs. Leister was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Rehoboth, DE, where she served in the social ministry of the church as well as the Sand Dollars (Women's Missionary Comm.).  She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the 328 Reg. of the 26th Yankee Division of the Army, and a Ladies Auxiliary member of the American Legion Post #184 in Palm.  In her free time she also enjoyed participating in a Senior Ladies' Bowling League.

            She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Davis and her husband Robert of Millsboro, DE, two sons:  Donald R. Leister and his wife Judy of Lynchburg, VA, Richard Leister and his wife Susanna of Alburtis, PA, 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, two brothers:  Richard Hoepfl and Paul Hoepfl and his wife Geraldine, all  of Lansdale.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Cassel, and two brothers:  Carl Hoepfl and Linford Hoepfl.

            Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 11 AM in the St. John's Lutheran Church, 910 Allentown Rd., Ridge Valley, PA 18960.  Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.  Family will receive friends from 10-11 AM prior to the service. 

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 20276 Bahia Vista Rd., Rehoboth, DE  19971.
