Bruce C. Long
2017-01-17

            Bruce C. Long, 75, widower of Faith Long, of Pennsburg, passed

away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

            Born in Pottstown, PA, he was the son of the late Chester and Vera (Squibb) Long.

            Bruce was a production worker for Firestone in Pottstown and also for C&D Batteries in Conshohocken until his retirement in 2002.

            He enjoyed fishing and sports, especially baseball. He was the pitcher for his high school baseball team.

            Surviving him are his companion, Theresa Coccio; children, Bruce C. Long, Jr. of Norristown and Denise, wife of Jeff Zawaski of Pottstown; Step-children, Kelly L., wife of Tal Umstead of East Greenville, Terry Houck and wife, Betty of Red Hill, and Lisa Barndt-Stitt and companion, David of Palm; two grandsons; five step-grandchildren; his brother, Gene Long and wife, Barbara of Pottstown; and sisters, Marie Amole of Stowe and Louise Kirk of Pottstown. He is predeceased by brothers Robert, Donald, Gordon, Leonard and Roger and by sisters, Dorothy and Vivian Amole.

            Services will be private. Cremation was entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA  18041.
