Irving Doremus, Jr.
2017-01-10

Irving Doremus, Jr, age 74, of Pennsburg PA, died peacefully at

home on January 9, 2017. An avid outdoorsman, Irving loved sharing nature with his family, farming, gardening, hunting, fishing, driving tractors, his mountain retreat in Sullivan County, and taking long walks.

An artist and woodworker, Irving's custom cabinetry and wood burnings can be found in many homes throughout the community. He was the proud founder and owner of Doremus Kitchens until his retirement in 2011.

Irving shared his life with his wife of 52 years, Janet (Moyer) Doremus who survives him. He will be greatly missed by his children, Brian Doremus of Pennsburg, Barry Doremus and wife, Renee of Pennsburg, and Brenda Doremus-Daniel and husband, Jason of Charlottesville Virginia, and five grandchildren Aaron, Emma, Zachary, Jaya and Kenzie. He is also survived by his brother, Nelson Doremus and wife, Shelley of Pennsburg, and several aunts, nieces and nephews.

Honoring Irving's wishes, there will be no service. Cremation services entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA.
