Ruth J. (Bilger) Bean, 82, of Green Lane, passed away Monday, 

Monday, January 2, 2017at Belle Haven Healthcare Center.

            Born in Red Hill, PA, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Mary Bilger.

            Ruth worked as a typist at Harleysville Insurance for many years. After that, she worked in the fabric department at Walmart in Harleysville.

            She enjoyed crafting, puzzles, reading, traveling and bowling. She was a member of the Harleysville Insurance Bowling Team.

            She is survived by her two daughters, Vicki L., wife of Jeff Weidemoyer of Palm and Kim L. Bean of Haverhill, Ma; her companion, Robert J. Kulp; three grandchildren, Todd, Heather, wife of Nathan and Justin; two great grandchildren, Natalie and Brooke; and a brother Robert Bilger and wife, Marge of Green Lane.

            In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a brother, Wilson Bilger, Jr.

            A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. Charles E. Romanowski officiating.  Burial follows in Old Goshenhoppen Cemetery, Woxall.  Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
