Stop Texting - Start Speaking With Confidence, Conviction, Charm
2016-11-09

Toastmasters Club Hosts Open House Featuring The 2016 World Champion of Public Speaking

On Nov. 15, Koinonia Speakers Toastmasters, a local chapter of Toastmasters International, will host its semi-annual open house at the New Hanover United Methodist Church, 2211 Swamp Pike, Gilbertsville. The free event begins at 7 p.m. and is open to all.

Attend the open house to see and hear the 2016 World Champion of Public Speaking along with two other finalists who spoke their way to the grand finale in Washington DC this August. From among about 30,000 world-wide contestants, only 10 make it to the finals each year.  These are truly the best speakers in the world.  One is crowned world champion.  Now you have a chance to see and hear the champ – the best of the best.

By attending the open house you will discover how you can benefit personally. You will learn how to overcome fear, improve your speaking and leadership skills, gain the confidence to speak up and ignite your career. As an open house guest you will not only hear the best, but also meet and interact with club members.

To many, speaking in public presents a fear greater than death. They may break out in a cold sweat just thinking about giving a presentation – at work, in their community or in volunteer organizations.  For many, their career depends on speaking to groups. Yet, because it terrifies them, they avoid it or do it poorly and then fail.

Toastmasters helps individuals around the world plan, prepare and perform in the arena of public speaking and leadership. Millions have benefited from joining and participating in a local toastmasters club.

Registration and social time begins at 7 p.m. There will be door prizes and refreshments. Admission is free, but there is limited seating. RSVPs are appreciated. For more information / RSVPs: contact Scott Cass at Gov26B@comcast.net.
