Grocery Outlet Bargain Market Opens First Store in Quakertown
2016-04-20

Grocery Outlet Bargain Market, the nation's fastest-growing, extreme-value grocery retailer was founded in 1946 and is opening their first store in Quakertown, starting with a ribbon-cutting on Thursday, April 21 and public grand opening events on Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24.  The store is located at 70 N. West End Boulevard, Quakertown.

Grocery Outlet offers the same trusted brands as traditional grocery stores, but because of their ability to find surplus, liquidated, and overstock items, they can offer savings of 50 percent or more on hundreds of new items every day. Each Grocery Outlet is independently owned/operated. Michael and Vikki Anderson, the Quakertown store's independent co-owner/operators, invite the local community to come in and get top-quality brands at surprisingly low prices.

The Quakertown Grocery Outlet will also create more than 30 new jobs.

Events include: Ribbon Cutting, Thursday, April 21, at 9 a.m. The store will be open daily from 8 a.m-9 p.m beginning Thursday.

Saturday, April 23 is the grand opening, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. A day of family-friendly fun and prizes, complimentary coffee and treats.  The first 100 customers in line will receive a $5 certificate, and the first 250 customers will also receive an eco-friendly reusable grocery bag.  Additionally, customers will have the opportunity to enter to win grand prizes such as $1,000 cash and free groceries for a year ($50 a month for a year). The grand prize drawing will take place Saturday, May 28.

Sunday, April 24 the  grand opening continues 8 a.m.-3 p.m with a second day of family-friendly fun, complimentary coffee and treats.  The first 250 customers will receive an eco-friendly reusable grocery bag. Customers may enter to win one of these grand prizes from April 23 – May 27.

Grocery Outlet Bargain Market offers the same trusted brands such as Kraft, Kellogg's, Tide, Tyson, Amy's Kitchen, Naked Juice and many more with prices 50 percent or more off traditional supermarket prices, plus a wide assortment of wine and natural and organic products at surprisingly low prices. Last year shoppers saved more than $1.5 billion on products purchased at Grocery Outlet as compared with everyday prices at traditional grocery stores. Buyers negotiate directly with manufacturers to buy overstock and excess products at deep discounts and pass those savings directly to customers. All products are 100-percent satisfaction guaranteed.

Grocery Outlet has more than 240 locations and carries refrigerated and frozen foods, fresh produce, fresh meat, organics, dry groceries, beer and wine, health and beauty care, over-the-counter drugs, household products, toys and gifts. Most stores are independently owned/operated by locally based families.
