Quakertown Farmers Market Announces St. Patty’s Day Celebration Giveaway, Easter Bunny Arrival, Bunny’s Food Drive and 41st Annual Egg Hunt
2016-03-09

Quakertown Farmers Market will once again spread St. Patty's Day cheer with their "Luck of the Irish" Giveaway Day on Saturday, March 12.  Be one of the lucky randomly chosen shoppers to receive a Quakertown Farmers Market "Lucky Charm" giveaway this Saturday between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m.

You won't need a four leaf clover to discover over the rainbow savings on all of our farm fresh foods including tender corned beef brisket, ham, cabbage and potatoes as well as Irish tea, tea biscuits, Irish potatoes, Irish creme coffee, St. Patty's cupcakes and fresh baked Irish soda bread.  Having a St. Patty's Day party? Be sure to check out Warehouse Outlets Seasonal Dept. #375 filled with everything Irish you'll need to celebrate with your favorite leprechauns!  Record Revival Dept. #223 offers a great selection of Irish music and T-Shirt World Dept, #428 is stocked with a super selection of Irish T's for the entire family.

The Easter Bunny will arrive at the farmers market on Saturday, March 12 at 10 a.m. and will be available for picture taking on March 12, 13, 19, 20, 24, 25, and 26 at the Bunny Booth located in Department #353A. The Easter Bunny is asking the children who visit him, if they are able, to donate a canned vegetable or canned fruit.  The Easter Bunny promises to load up his Easter basket full of donations before he leaves Quakertown to prepare for Easter and hop on over to the Quakertown Food Pantry and drop off all donations to help our needy neighbors have an "eggsceptional" Easter.

The 41st Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held the weekend before Easter on Saturday, March 19 and will begin promptly at 1 p.m. Over the years, the Quakertown Farmers Market's Annual Egg Hunt has become a well-loved family fun tradition and is attended by thousands. Participants big and small are reminded to arrive early and to bring a basket. The Easter Bunny and the Quakertown Farmers Market have prepared more than 1,000 prize eggs and more than 14,000 candy-filled eggs this year in anticipation of the eager participants. The hunt area is located next to the north entrance and directional signs will be posted the day of the event. Age categories include 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, and a special needs hunt area.      Through the continued generosity of the Quakertown Farmers Market, all hunt participants also receive a free participation gift for simply taking part in the hunt event. Rain date for this year's "Eggstravaganza" is Sunday, March 20 at 1 p.m. sharp.

Quakertown Farmers Market invites everyone to hippity-hop over to the market to stock up and save for the holiday. We will be open an extra day on Thursday, March 24 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. for your holiday shopping convenience. Our butchers have the freshest meats and choice hams as well as farm fresh produce, baked goods, decorations, Easter flowers and of course a huge selection of Easter candies.

As a reminder, the Quakertown Farmers Market will be closed on Easter Sunday, March 27, however, the outdoor flea market will be open from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. This year, the flea market will also be open on Thursday, March 24 and flea market space will be buy-one-get-one-free.
