Univest Awards $5,000 to St. Isidore School as Winner of Annual Caring for Community Giveaway
Univest Corporation announced Tuesday St. Isidore School in Quakertown as the winner of the fourth annual Caring for Community Giveaway, a contest that awards $5,000 to a local, nonprofit organization. Groups were nominated for the prize by the public through an entry form on the Univest Facebook page. St. Isidore School was randomly selected from more than 1,400 entries representing 103 local nonprofit organizations. St. Isidore School has educated boys and girls in Upper Bucks County for nearly 100 years. The school plans to use the donation to invest in new technology to provide state-of-the-art tools for teachers and students.
Previous winners of the Caring for Community Giveaway were the Bucks County SPCA, Vets for Vets and The Granny Project.
The contest launched Monday, December 7, 2015 and entries were accepted through Thursday, December 31, 2015. To be eligible to win the $5,000, the nonprofit group had to be a registered 501 (c) (3) organization that operates in the Univest service area of Greater Philadelphia and the Lehigh Valley.
