Philip D. Ferrizzi
Philip Dominic Ferrizzi, 89, of Bally, passed away December 10, 2015.
He was the beloved husband of Hilicias Ruth (Cabañas) Ferrizzi. They were married 67 years this past March. \
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Samuel and Anna (DiBlasio) Ferrizzi. He served his country honorably in the Navy. Philip was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the Police Academy of Philadelphia. He was a detective for the City of Philadelphia Police department for 16 years, then Chief of Police for the Bally Police Department for 16 years. He also served as the Mayor of the Borough of Bally for 20 years before retiring. Philip was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Bally; he was the Past Director of the National Centre for Padre Pio.
Surviving with his wife, are children: Ronald Philip, and his wife, Kathleen, of Lenhartsville; Leonard Bruce, and his wife Cheryl, of Bally; Philip Anthony, and his wife Niki, of Topton; Charlotte, wife of Daniel Barrow, of Chino, CA; and Eric Daniel, and his wife Terri, of Emmaus; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Carl Ferrizzi and Dorothy Lanzenta, both of Montgomeryville. He was pre-deceased by siblings: Roland, Samuel, Ralph, Vince, Viola, Rosemarie, Eleanore, Marion, and Anna.
A Funeral Mass will be at 11 AM on Friday at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Bally. Friends may visit from 10-10-45 AM on Friday at the Church, and from 6-8 PM on Thursday at the National Centre for Padre Pio, 111 Barto Road, Barto. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg, is in charge of arrangements.
