Malcolm H. “Bud” George Jr.
Malcolm H. "Bud" George Jr., 90, of Pennsburg, died September 15, 2015. He was the loving husband of Ouida (Briddes) George. Born in Lima, PA, he was a son of the late Malcolm H. Sr. and Helen M. (Walker) George.
He served his country honorably in the Navy during WWII. He worked for Acme Markets for 40 years, retiring in 1995 as a Corporate Buyer. He also worked as a Food Broker for T.A. James in Philadelphia and was a Vice President for Quaker Maid Meats in Reading. Bud also owned a horse farm and was an avid wildlife enthusiast.
Survivors: Along with his wife, Bud is survived by his daughters: Diane Marie George of Perry Hall, MD and Beverly Ann, wife of Thomas McCarthy of Wrightstown, PA; his grandchildren: T.J. (Jessica) McCarthy, Scott (Amanda) McCarthy and Erin (John) Sowinski; great grandchildren: Joshua, Carter & Caden. He was predeceased by a son, Malcolm III and his brothers: Raymond and John.
Services: Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, at Trinity Great Swamp UCC, 9150 Spinnerstown Rd., Spinnerstown where all are invited to gather from 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM at Washington's Crossing National Cemetery with full military honors.
