Lynne A. Heckler

Lynne A. Heckler, age 57, died peacefully at her home in Upper Salford

Township after a lengthy illness on Saturday, June 20, 2015. She was the wife of P. Scott Heckler, to whom she was married 35 years. A lifelong resident of Montgomery County, she spent most of her life living on portions of what was once her family's farmland.

She was the daughter of Helene (Gamp) Huber, who resides locally, and the late Robert R. Huber.
Lynne graduated from Kimberton Waldorf School, Class of 1975, and Montgomery County Community College with an Associate Degree. She was a homemaker who along with her son operated Deer Run Daylily Gardens, LLC, in Upper Salford Twp. gardening business which specializes in perennial plants. She devoted much of her time to activities with her immediate family.
She was a member of Zion Mennonite Church, Souderton. In conjunction with her business she belonged to numerous plant related organizations, including the American Hemerocallis Society, of which her gardens were a featured tour stop on the Society's National Convention when it was held in the Philadelphia area in 2000.
In addition to her husband, Lynne is survived by her son, Aaron M. Heckler, also of Upper Salford Twp., and one brother, Gary Huber, of Buffalo, Wyoming.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Monday, June 29, 7:00 P.M. at Zion Mennonite Church, 149 E. Cherry Lane, Souderton, PA. The family will greet friends after the service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers (the family has enough live ones) they request memorial contributions be made in her memory to the Goschenhoppen Historians, Inc, PO Box 476, Green Lane, PA 18054.

Arrangements are by the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., in Telford (Franconia Twp.).  Visit to send online condolences.
