A Pennsburg man already incarcerated on child pornography charges was arraigned for additional crimes last Thursday after authorities said he solicited sex from a 15-year-old.
Eric Favre, 22, of the 1500 block of Lakeside Road, was charged May 21 with two felony counts of solicitation of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, felony solicitation of statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor along with corruption of minors, a misdemeanor.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Red Hill District Court, PA State Police said Favre contacted the girl through Facebook sometime prior to March 18. Authorities said Favre asked the girl twice how old she was in a conversation, and she said 15.
Court papers go on to say Favre then asked the girl multiple sexually explicit questions, including if she would be okay with being impregnated by him, and tried to set up places and times for the two to meet up and "be alone."
Authorities said the girl asked Favre his age and he told her he was 17, despite her questioning his older appearance.
Favre was arraigned by Judge Catherine Hummel-Fried, who set bail at $100,000 cash. He was remanded to Montgomery County jail. Favre was in jail since May 12 awaiting a preliminary hearing on four felony counts of possession of child pornography.
In that case, Montgomery County detectives said they were notified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Favre had sexually explicit photos of children in his possession. Authorities said they located video of girls ages 4 to 7 on his computer and cell phone. He allegedly admitted to possessing those images, detectives said.
Favre is scheduled to appear in Red Hill District Court May 28 at 1:30 p.m. for preliminary hearings in both cases.
