Althea L. "Mammy" Shankweiler, 97, of Vera Cruz Road South, Emmaus, 

passed away Sunday in Lehigh Center.  She was the widow of Earl H. Shankweiler, who passed in December, 2012.

            Born in Mertztown, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Rennie (Minnich) Weil.  She was a member of Church of the Shepherd U.C.C., Alburtis, and the Earl Keller Fan Club.

            Surviving:  Son, William L., husband of Paulette Shankweiler, of Zionsville; daughters, Delores M., wife of Paul Ruth, of Macungie, and Gloria J., wife of Marvin Holland, of Emmaus; grandchildren Michael Ruth, Kathie McBride, Alan Ruth, Paul Shankweiler, Cindy Ruchinski, and 14 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by brothers, Kenneth and Walter Weil and by grandson, Ronald Shankweiler.

            Services:  11:00 a.m. Saturday in Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, Breinigsville.  Calling hours are 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Friday and 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Saturday.  Interment in Lehigh Zion Cemetery, Alburtis. www.schmoyerfuneralhome.com.
