As a small business owner, do you find keeping records of the day-to-day business transactions somewhat overwhelming? Would you like to make your bookkeeping more streamlined and efficient? Learn to use QuickBooks and get answers to all your questions from a professional in Pottstown SCORE's QuickBooks Basics workshop on Monday, November 17. This workshop is for entrepreneurs, business owners and anyone who would like to understand how to set up and use QuickBooks. The instructor for the class is local CPA, Scott Rakowski.
Registrants will learn specific topics like setting up a new company, invoicing, paying bills, receiving payments, online and mobile banking, and using a check register. Also included will be instruction on Chart of Accounts, Inventory, Sales Tax, and Bank Reconciliations. All participants are required to bring a laptop computer that has QuickBooks 2010 or later installed. The laptop battery must be capable of operating for the 2 ½ hours of the class as power outlets will not be available.
The workshop fee is $30, and there is a 50% discount for each additional person who registers at the same time. The class is held from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm at the Pottstown SCORE office at 244 High Street, Suite 102 in the New York Plaza office building. Enter from the ground level parking lot behind the building where there is ample free parking. Please arrive at 6:45 pm to sign in.
