Tina Thomas Named 2014 BPW Woman of the Year
2014-10-15

The Upper Perkiomen Business and Professional Women's Club honored Tina M. Thomas as their 2014 Woman of the Year at their monthly dinner meeting at the Pizza Como Pub restaurant on Monday, October 13.

Tina is a talented graphic designer and secretary/treasurer of Perkiomen Valley Printing, Inc., Red Hill.  She has held a successful sr. consultant position with Tastefully Simple for the last eight years as well.   This honor, which recognizes the attributes and successes of women in the work place and community, is given in conjunction with the celebration of National Business Women's Week the third week of October each year since 1928.  This year's Woman of the Year event is chaired by Marilyn Mosheim with Verona Rodenberger; judging is done by past recipients.

Tina, a BPW member since 2008, is currently serving as 2nd vice president which includes chairing the finance committee, budget and fund raisers. She has been a contributing force in the success of the Women's Expo project over these past five years, offering her expertise with graphics, signage and promotional correspondence.  She has also coordinated the Girl Scout plantings at the East Greenville borough hall.  She successfully completed the individual development program offered by BPW to enhance her confidence and communication skills.

The common consensus of her BPW peers is that she is reliable, always willing and objective when called upon to serve her club.  Her spouse commented that "Her wheels are always turning" which is a tremendous and challenging asset in her business career and personal life.

Supporting Tina at this dinner event were her husband, Steve, two daughters Shelby and Ally, mother, Mary Keller, father, Don Cope, in-laws, Henry and Bonnie Thomas, and sisters, Michele Rodenberger and Lori Stitt.

Tina is a 1991 Upper Perkiomen High School graduate where she participated in cheerleading and the rifle squad.  She,  Steve and daughters reside in Pennsburg and are active members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where Tina plays in the hand bell choir.   She and her family continue to enjoy  camping everywhere from Massachusetts to Tennessee on the east coast.
