Wilhelmine B. Lysinger
2014-09-30

Wilhelmine B. Lysinger, 93 of Perkiomenville, PA, died Sept 25th.  Frau Lysinger taught over 30 years at Boyertown High School, teaching "boys and girls first, and German second".

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church Niantic where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir for 50 years.  In retirement, she volunteered doing German translations to English, read for books on tape, and was an avid quilt maker for charities.  She also loved singing with many senior choruses in the area.

She and her late husband Alan chaperoned High School dances and toured in Europe with high school student groups.  They also extensively travelled on their own.

She is survived by her sister Mathilda  Sukaly of Philadelphia, daughter W. Johanna (James) Benner, and sons Alan (Patricia), Glenn (Regina), and Lowell ( Sharon) Lysinger.  There are 9 living grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church on Oct. 12 at 3 PM with visitation starting at 1PM and following the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the charity of your choice or Christ Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
