The Pennsylvania Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc. began its 95th year at its annual summer board meeting of directors held on August 16, 2014, at the Inn at Reading, Wyomissing. In attendance were Joanne Hersh and Marilynn Mayer from Upper Perkiomen. President Diane Lewis, of Fleetwood, PA, who was installed as BPW/PA President at the State Convention in Scranton, PA, in June, presided. President Lewis has selected as her slogan, "Women would walk a mile for a C.A.M.E.L". The letters C.A.M.E.L. sand for Cure for Cancer, An End to Domestic Violence, More Support for Women Veterans, Equality for all Women, Legislation to Empower Women. BPW's mission is "To Achieve Equity for All Women in the Workplace through Advocacy, Education, and Information."

BPW/PA is a statewide organization comprised of 1425 members in 57 local organizations and 12 districts. Founded in 1919, BPW/PA is a leading advocate for working women in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The organization works on all issues that touch women's lives and sponsors programs and scholarships to improve women's lives and careers.
