David L. Kalis, 66, of Barto, passed away peacefully at home on August 4, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Leda (Franklin) Kalis. Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Francis and Marion (Rhoads) Kalis. He served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. David was a wood and metal worker.

            Surviving with his wife are his sons: David Jr. and Charles, both of Pottstown, Jeremiah of Barto; his daughters: Michelle of Macungie, and Myranda Sarro of Bechtelsville; his grandchildren: Callan and Scathan Sarro; and his siblings: Stephen of Macungie, Joseph of Reading, and Gary of Stowe.
