Shirley A. Monroe
2014-07-07

            Shirley A. Monroe, 72, of Mountain Village Dr., Macungie, passed away peacefully at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center on July 5, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Wayne Monroe. Born in Upper Hanover Township, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Sadie (Kulp) Krauss.

            She worked for the former Keystone Transformer Company in Pennsburg until they closed. Following that, she was an assembler for Campbell Manufacturing in Bechtelsville until she retired.

            Surviving with her husband are two sons, Gregory and James with whom she resided; and a daughter Christine Ludy of Gilbertsville; and three granddaughters: Tiffany, Alicia, and Danielle. She was predeceased by a brother, Harold Krauss, and a sister, Betty Berryman.

            A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, July 11, at the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg where all are invited to gather from 10 a.m.  Interment will be with her family at Niantic Union Cemetery, Barto.
