2014-06-18

Left to right,  Patricia Swan, vice president and human resources manager, Harleysville Savings Bank; Gia Freed, human resources generalist, Harleysville Savings Bank; Sarah Whetstone, executive director, North Penn United Way; Ron Geib, president and CEO, Harleysville Savings Bank; and Brendan McGill, executive vice president and COO, Harleysville Savings Bank.

Ronald B. Geib, president and CEO of Harleysville Savings Bank, announced that the Harleysville Savings team pledged a record $35,725 for this year's North Penn United Way campaign. This amount was matched 100 percent by the bank for a total donation to the North Penn United Way of $71,450.

Geib, who is personally active in the North Penn United Way, commented, "I am proud to lead a team who continues to show support for our communities. Not only do we have 100 percent participation from our management team but we also now have 14 Grand Leaders. We are fortunate to live in a community where people lend a hand to help one another and for United Way that is working to improve community conditions."

Harleysville Savings Bank, established in 1915, is a subsidiary of Harleysville Savings Financial Corporation, an independently owned public company headquartered in Harleysville. It trades on the OTCQX under the symbol HARL. The bank has seven full-service branches in Montgomery and Bucks Counties.
