Jason D. Cassel, 40, of Weisenberg Township, New Tripoli, and formerly of Rose

Drive, Pennsburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.

            Born in Abington Township, he was a son of Arlene R. (Biddington) and Joseph T. Cassel, Jr. of Pennsburg.

            He was a 1992 class graduate of Council Rock High School, a 1997 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Forestry Sciences, in 2012 he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Management from the Art Institute of Philadelphia.  Jason was an arborist and a chef for many years. 

            Surviving in addition to his parents; is his daughter, Lauren Emily Cassel of Wallingford, CT and his girlfriend, Sheryl A. (Hunter) Sarnese, with whom he resided.  He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph T. Cassel, III.

            A graveside service will be held 12:00 Noon on Monday, June 9, 2014 at George Washington Memorial Park, 80 Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting, PA.  Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA.
