The practice session that was rained out on Saturday afternoon at Grandview Speedway has now been rescheduled for Thursday, April 3, with a 6 p.m. starting time. The four-hour practice session is open for fan viewing free of charge. Pit gates will open at 4 p.m.
"We felt it was important that racers planning to be in competition at Grandview have a chance to practice before the season gets started," said track owner Bruce Rogers. "The practice session is open to stock cars, sprints, midgets, enduro cars and others."
There will be no NASCAR license required for the practice session but a NASCAR license will be needed in order to enter the pits for the regular weekly stock car racing events.
The four-hour practice will be the final opportunity for racers to test and tune as they get ready for the 2014 season opener set for Saturday, April 5 at 7 p.m. The opening night of the 52nd annual season of stock car racing at the Berks County clay oval will feature the NASCAR 358 Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman stock cars in action. Spectator gates will open at 5 p.m.
On Sunday, April 6, 1 p.m. the always exciting Enduro racers will be in action for the first time this season.
