More Than 90 Treated During Dentistry from the Heart Event in Red Hill
2013-12-18

Red Hill Dental Office and Quakertown Dental Office staff who participated in the free dental care clinic Nov. 15.

Friday, Nov. 15, at the Red Hill Dental Office was a day unlike any other. Upon arriving at the office at daybreak, the doctors and staff found a line already formed outside their building at 942 Main St., Red Hill.

The line and excitement in the air was due to the fact that that was the day of free dental care being offered by the Red Hill Dental Office and Quakertown Dental Office through their partnership with a nonprofit organization, “Dentistry from the Heart” (DFTH).  Dentistry from the Heart (www.dentistryfromtheheart.org)  is a national organization that helps dental offices all across the country provide a free filling, extraction or cleaning to any patient in need.  Always wanting to give back to the communities they serve, Dr. Michael Bonomo and his staff both support and volunteer their time for many organizations, and he felt that DFTH offered a unique opportunity to make a positive impact.

More than 90 patients were treated that day, more than 150 procedures performed.  Patients needing extractions were relieved of their pain, patients needing fillings had teeth restored, and patients were seen for cleanings.  The patients were very grateful to receive the free care.  Bonomo is extremely fortunate to have a caring and compassionate team working with him.  Doctors, assistants, hygienists, office personnel, friends and family, more than 50 of them total, also volunteered their time.

The day was a huge success, and the Red Hill Dental Office and Quakertown Dental Office plan to make this an annual event.  They would like to thank the local community businesses for helping achieve this by their generous support; special thanks to Dr. Evan Chalk, Dr. Sidney Lyons and to the St. Luke’s Dental Clinic.
