Ronald J. Collins
Ronald J. Collins, 64, husband of Debra K. (Mengel) Collins, of Pennsburg, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 13, 2013 in St. Luke’s Quakertown Hospital.
Born in Camden, New Jersey, he was a son of the late William and Elizabeth (Brownlee) Collins.
He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the 15th Division, 7th Engineers Unit in Vietnam.
He was a self-employed Flooring Installation Contractor until 1989 then worked in Maintenance for Montgomery County Parks and Recreation retiring in July.
He will be sadly missed by his wife; son, Travis J. Collins and wife, Jessica of Reading; siblings, William Collins and wife, Jeanine of Nevada, Thomas Collins of Barto and Donna, wife of Barry Crouch of Telford. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Collins.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2013 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1244 St. Paul’s Church Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with the Rev. William A. Vanderslice officiating. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Arrangements are entrusted to the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041.
