Michael G. Bonenberger, 57, husband of Coreen (Clark) Bonenberger, of Boyertown, formerly of Red Hill, went to be with our Lord on Thursday Dec. 12, 2013 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

          Born in Norristown, he was the son of Carl G. and Gloria E. (Reimert) Bonenberger of Red Hill.

          Michael owned his own scrapping business most recently, but has worked as a cook at several local restaurants in the past.

          An avid fisherman with his children and grandchildren, he loved to be busy outdoors, including camping, and creekside cookouts.  Michael loved his family and the Lord.

          He will be greatly missed by his loving wife; two daughters Jennifer L. and Jessica R. Bonenberger of Boyertown; two step-sons Derek Shaner husband of Emily of Boyertown, and Robert Shaner of Bechtelsville; two sisters JoAnne Rehak of Red Hill, and Monika Owen wife of Bob of FL; two brothers Craig Bonenberger of Hughesville, and  David Bonenberger husband of Melissa of Pennsburg; mother-in-law Bernice Clark; sisters-in-law Shelley Pinter, Melinda Goggins wife of Chris, and Julie Schlegel wife of Jim; and grandchildren Alexis, Brandon, Cameron, Lucian, Anjolena, Mali, Keith, Erika, and Bryce.

          A funeral service will be held Tuesday Dec. 17, 2013, 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9:30-10:45 AM at the funeral home.
