Univest Corporation’s Caring for Community Giveaway Will Award $5,000 to a Local Nonprofit
Univest Corporation recently announced the second annual Caring for Community Giveaway, a contest that will award $5,000 to a local, nonprofit organization. At the start of 2012, Univest launched the Committed to Local giving program, an initiative that provides financial support to local nonprofits to help make a difference in the neighborhoods it serves. Last year’s contest awarded $5,000 to the Bucks County SPCA.
This December, Univest is again turning the tables and asking its customers and community members which local nonprofit deserves the $5,000 prize.
Here’s how it works: Identify a local nonprofit that deserves the $5,000 donation; nominate the group by posting a comment on the Univest Facebook page at www.facebook.com/UnivestCorporation explaining why the group should win the money.
The organization with the most posts at the end of the contest will win $5,000.
The contest launched Monday, Dec. 2, at 8 a.m. and runs through Monday, Dec. 30, at 8 a.m. To be eligible to win the $5,000, the nonprofit group must be a registered 501(c)(3) organization that aligns with the Univest giving guidelines and operates somewhere in the Univest service area of Bucks, Chester, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties and the Lehigh Valley. Additional details about the Caring for Community Giveaway can be found at www.univest.net/CTL.

Univest Corporation’s Caring for Community Giveaway is open to all legal residents of the United States. Participants may post to the Univest Facebook page the organization they support. The winner will be determined by the most posts, and the organization must also meet Univest Corporation’s grant giving standards and contest rules. The winning organization cannot be a previous Univest Corporation Committed to Local contest winner.
We request only one organization name per post. The winning organization will be contacted via phone or email. The contest runs from Dec. 2, through Monday, Dec. 30, at 8 a.m.
In the event a winning organization cannot be reached and/or does not respond by 5 p.m. Jan. 6, 2014, they forfeit the grant to the next organization with the most posts. Univest Corporation is not responsible for the organization’s availability or non-response. Univest Corporation reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the contest at any time. The Caring for Community Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook.
