John W. Reinhart
John W. Reinhart, 89, formerly of Red Hill and Pennsburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at The Birches at Arbour Square, Harleysville. He was the husband of Hazel V. (Binder) Reinhart celebrating 65 years of marriage on June 26, 2013.
Born in Red Hill, he was a son of the late Howard J. and Elizabeth (Moll) Reinhart.
He retired from American Olean Tile in Lansdale in 1994 after many years of service and also was a self-employed barber.
He was a proud Veteran serving as a Seaman First Class in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sumneytown. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #184, East Greenville and the Red Hill Fire Company. John was an avid Phillies fan, loved planting a vegetable garden, singing and dancing and sharing stories with friends and family.
Surviving along with his wife, are a son, Frederick J. Reinhart and wife, Stephanie of Red Hill; two brothers, Lester Reinhart and wife, Pat of Pottstown and Russell Reinhart, husband of the late Dorothy of Pottsgrove, a granddaughter, Lydia G. Reinhart and his beloved Yellow Lab, Jessica. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Roy Reinhart and two sisters, Ruth Kline and Fern Bytheway.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with Rev. Dave Heineman, Chaplain of the Birches officiating.
