MCCC Becomes Cisco Academy Support and Instructor Training Center
2013-09-04

Montgomery County Community College recently elevated its Cisco Academy Training Center to the next level by becoming a Cisco Academy Support and Instructor Training Center.

In this capacity, MCCC provides technical, administrative and curricular support to 115 Cisco academies located in the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey. Additionally, the Center’s new responsibilities include onboarding of new academies, training of new instructors and the professional development of existing instructors.

MCCC’s Director of Information Technology Programs Anil Datta, a certified Cisco Instructor Trainer, manages the Cisco Academy Support and Instructor Training Center.

Since 1999, MCCC has been a Cisco Academy Training Center and Regional Academy, providing training for conceptual and technical skills to design, install, operate and maintain state-of-the-art computer networks. As part of continuous evolution, Cisco has introduced organizational, structural and process enhancements and technology improvements designed to help academies thrive and students meet their goals. MCCC underwent a competitive process to become a Cisco Academy Support and Instructor Training Center.

As a Cisco Academy, MCCC offers training using state-of-art labs and technologically current and relevant curricula. Graduates of the Academy program will have acquired the skills necessary to be successful in Cisco certifications in routing, switching, wireless networks, network security and voice over IP at the associate and professional levels.

For more information about the Cisco Academy Support and Instructor Training Center, contact Anil Datta at adatta@mc3.edu or call 215-641-6489.
