Late News - Police Identify, Charge Burglary Suspects
Written by Kelly Chandler, Staff Writer
2013-08-01

Two local men are in Montgomery County Jail after Upper Perk Police and PA State Police, Skippack barracks, charged them with burglary, theft and related offenses in connection with several crimes in Red Hill and Upper Hanover in July.

State police said Lee Slack Jr., 20, of Upper Hanover, and Christopher Rementer, 19, of Red Hill, were behind several bold nighttime burglaries, while the home’s occupants slept, on Jodie Court in Pennsburg and Creekview Drive in Upper Hanover, as well as thefts from vehicles on Oakwood Drive and Geryville Pike in Upper Hanover.

The men were arraigned Wednesday by Judge Catherine Hummel-Fried of Red Hill District Court on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, theft, theft from a motor vehicle, loitering and prowling at night and receiving stolen property.  Bail was set at $100,000 each.  Both men were remanded to jail in lieu of bail.

A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 8 at 11 a.m. in Red Hill.
