Margaret C. (Carpenter) Dodd
2013-07-31

Margaret C. Dodd, 80, widow of the late Kenneth Dodd, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Chestnut Knoll, Boyertown PA.

Known to all as Peg, she was the daughter of the late William and Emma (Hoyer) Carpenter.

In her early years, Peg resided in North Wales before her family eventually settled in the Schwenksville area.  She graduated from Schwenksville High School in 1950 followed by secondary education as a graduate of the Lansdale School of Business.  After working as a secretary at Superior Tube in Collegeville, her focus turned to her family, her garden, her chickens and her beloved dogs.  She devoted many years as a church organist and pianist.  What truly defined Peg was her internal spirit which came from her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

She will be sadly missed by her brother David Carpenter and his wife Suzanne of Vero Beach FL, her sister Barbara Fillman and her husband LeRoy of Schwenksville, three nephews, George Carpenter, Douglas Fillman, Mark Fillman and her niece Linda Sausser.

A memorial service will be held at Linwood W. Ott  Funeral Home, 111 N Reading Ave Boyertown, PA 19512 on Saturday August 10, 2013 at 10:30 AM.

Any donation on Peg’s behalf can be made to the NewPenDel Newfoundland Rescue 68 Oakland Rd Summit, NJ 07901.

Online condolences may be made at www.lwottfuneralhome.com.
