Marion J. Saul, 87, formally of East Greenville, died July 28, 2013 in Allentown. She was the widow of Carlton J. Saul. They were married July 8, 1950. She was the daughter of the late Eugene Graber and Carrie Treichler Graber.
She was a graduate of East Greenville High School and a graduate of Kutztown State College where she received her B.S. in Education. She started her career as a librarian at Muhlenberg College. She later became Head Librarian at Parkland High School for over 30 years.
Marion loved to read and had a lifelong passion for teaching and learning new things. She also loved to travel. She traveled on many different cruise lines throughout the world. One of her favorites was a trip on the QE2. Another accomplishment for her was a trip around the world in her early eighties.
She was an animal lover and especially loved her many Old English Sheepdogs. Marion had a wonderful support system from all of her friends, neighbors and extended family in Iowa.
She was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ in East Greenville, Pa.
She was an aunt of the late Mary Ann Hoffman formally of East Greenville, Pa.
Survivors: three Grand Niece’s, Susan J Hersh of East Greenville, Julie A Oberholtzer of East Greenville, and Jennifer L Bowyer of Barto; one Great Grand Niece, Brook J Oberholtzer Graves of East Greenville.
Auer Cremation Services of Pa., Inc. was entrusted with the arrangements.
At Marion’s request there will be no service.
