 ZONING HEARING BOARD - EAST GREENVILLE posted June 19, 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Zoning Hearing Board of the Borough of East Greenville will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 7:00 o'clock PM at the East Greenville Borough Hall, 206 Main Street, East Greenville, Pennsylvania, to consider the application of Green Tree Group Contracting, LLC, 300 Farm Lane, Doylestown, Pennsylvania, for a special exception and variances from the terms of the East Greenville Zoning Ordinance.
The property in question is owned by Perkiomen Knitting Mills, P O Box 2710, Durango, Colorado. The property is identified as 241 Jefferson Street in the Borough of East Greenville. The property is presently developed with a two-story commercial building operating as a manufacturing, processing, and production facility. The property is zoned R-2 Medium Density Residential. The request of the Applicant is to convert the existing structure into a residential apartment structure containing sixteen (16) residential apartment units. The present use of the property and the proposed use are both nonconforming uses. The change of one nonconforming use to another nonconforming use must be approved as a special exception under Section 95-142C of the Zoning Ordinance Applicant has also requested a variance to permit an increase of the impervious surface coverage from the existing 56% to 70 %; and also a variance to permit a 6-foot landscape buffer along the southern side yard, and to eliminate the landscape buffer along the alley at the rear of the property.
