PUBLIC HEARING & MEETING FOR ORD. AMENDMENT - MARLBOROUGH TWP.

The Supervisors of Marlborough Township will hold a public hearing and public meeting on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. to consider an ordinance amending the Code of the Township of Marlborough, by amending Chapter 275 Zoning. Following the hearing, the Township may consider enactment of the zoning amendment during the regularly scheduled public meeting of the Board of Supervisors.

The public hearing and public meeting will be held at the Marlborough Township Building, 6040 Upper Ridge Road, Green Lane, PA. The public is invited to attend and comment.

A brief summary of the proposed ordinance follows:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MARLBOROUGH, MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 275 ZONING, ARTICLE VII TERMINOLOGY, SECTION 275-45 DEFINITIONS BY AMENDING THE DEFINITION OF "DAY-CARE FACILITIES," AND ARTICLE VIII GENERAL REGULATIONS BY REPEALING AND REPLACING SECTION 275-63 DAY-CARE FACILITIES AND SECTION 275-64 HOME OCCUPATIONS.

Section 1: adds definitions for "Day-Care Facilities," "Child Day-Care Center," "Group Day Care Home," "Family Day Care Home," and "Adult Day Care Center."

Section 2: repeals and replaces Art. VIII General Regulations, section 275-63 Day-care facilities, with a new section that sets forth standards and requirements applicable to different types of day-care facilities.

Section 3: repeals and replaces Art. VIII General Regulations, section 275-64 Home occupations, with a new section that sets forth standards and requirements applicable to major and minor home occupations.

Section 4 is a severability clause; Section 5 repeals inconsistent ordinances; Section 6 sets an effective date.
