NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Upper Hanover Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing in compliance with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code to receive public comment on a proposed ordinance, described below, on June 14, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the Township building at 1704 Pillsbury Road, East Greenville, PA 18041.  The Board may choose to vote on the ordinance that evening, or choose to defer a vote until a later date. The ordinance may be viewed at the Township building during normal business hours or viewed on the Township website.   All residents and interested persons may appear at the above time and place, and will be heard.  If you are a person with a disability and require auxiliary aid or other assistance, please contact the Township at 610-679-4401.

THE PROPOSED ORDINANCE REPEALS ORDINANCE 500-841(B) WHICH SETS FORTH VARIOUS DESIGN CRITERIA FOR RESIDENTIAL SOLAR PANEL INSTALLATIONS.  IF THE ORDINANCE IS ADOPTED, THE TOWNSHIP WOULD DEFER TO NEW APPROXIMATELY SIMILAR CRITERIA SET FORTH IN THE BUILDING CODES THAT COLLECTIVELY MAKE UP THE PENNSYLVANIA  UNIFORM CONSTRUCTION CODE. SECTION 841(A) REMAINS IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT. THE ORDINANCE WOULD BE EFFECTIVE FIVE DAYS AFTER ADOPTION.
