Events in East Greenville, Pennsburg, Milford Twp., and New Hanover Twp.
There's plenty to see and do on Saturday in area communities – and lots of fun as well.
East Greenville and Pennsburg will hold their annual Community Day celebration on Main Street, from Fourth Street in East Greenville to Route 663 in Pennsburg, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The rain date for the event is Sunday, September 9.
Main Street will be closed from 9 a.m.until 5 p.m. Motorists are advised to use Washington or Jefferson Streets in East Greenville, and Penn Street or Dotts Street in Pennsburg as an alternate.
In Pennsburg, entertainment will be provided by Barefoot Bobby & The Breakers, Red Hill Band, and the Upper Perkiomen High School Marching Band.
There will be face painting, balloons, vendors, crafts, food, Pennsburg Pick-A-Prize Auction, car show, and more.
In East Greenville, music will be provided by Phil Stahl with his "Open Mic" and Karaoke, Jeff Umbehauer Band. An Inflatable Slide and Moon Bounce will be available and Magician Cliven Allen will also be performing.
There will be balloon art, face painting, flea marketers and food vendors. A car show will be held beginning at Second Street in the borough and running south into Pennsburg.
New Hanover Township will hold its 31st annual Fall Frolic this Saturday. The event is held in New Hanover's Hickory Park, 2140 Big Road, and runs from noon to 5 p.m.
This family based event is full of entertainment and delicious food. There will be children's crafts, games and rides. For the adults, there are local vendors, information booths, local artisan booths, and music throughout the park.
Milford Township will be holding its third annual Ag Daze starting at 11 a.m.until everyone has had their fill of fun for the day. The event will be held at Molasses Creek Park, 2175 Krammes Road in Milford Township.
The event features a variety of farm producers, family activities and displays.
Participants will include Weisel Produce, Windy Springs Farms, Bucks County Honey, Unami Ridge Winery, The Farm Bakery, Pappy's Orchards, Bucks Clucks, Demonstrations include Awckland Blacksmith, Buc-Le-Sportsman model airplanes, Camp Men-O-Lan, Quakertown Vet Clinic, AR Saw & Tool Sharpening and two man saw.
Activities include hay wagon rides, corn box, hay bale toss, pumpkin painting & pumpkin weight guess.
Exhibitors include the Master Gardeners & Master Watershed.
Food will be available for purchase. Free Admission & Parking.
The early forecast is predicting no rain so visitors can attend any show their community spirit by attending any or all of the events for a fun-filled Saturday.
