Pete Damiani

Pete Damiani, 79, of Woxall, left this world surrounded by his family, entered into his eternal home, and was reunited with his wife, Connie, on May 26, 2018.  He was also the husband of the late Beatrice Bishop Damiani.

Born July 18, 1938 in Woxall, he was a son of the late Alfred and Mary (Lobue) Damiani and lived a very full life.

Early in his career, he worked as an auto mechanic with J.L. Freed Cadillac and Pontiac.  Pete then began his business as a septic system installer and, later, a home builder.

In his spare time, he enjoyed auto racing at several local speedways.  Pete won many features as well as the track championship and Freedom 76 at Grandview Speedway in 1976.  An avid hunter, he particularly enjoyed archery hunting for elk and white-tailed deer as well as every species of wild turkey.

More than anything else, Pete loved his God and family.  He faithfully worshipped at Family Worship Center, Lansdale.

Survivors include his son, Andrew Peter Damiani (Gwendolyn) of Telford; daughter, Vickie Lynn Halteman (Dale) of Harleysville; eight grandchildren, Alana Friedrich (Jon), Nate Halteman (Shawna), Drew Damiani (Stephanie), Kassia Ott (Tim), Alysa Halteman, Luke Damiani, Kelsey Kemmerer (Ben), and Anthony Damiani; and 20 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by two sisters, Bettie Miller (Pastor Pete), and Lilia "Tita" Schaffer, both of Woxall; and brothers, Pastor JR Damiani (Beverly) of Woxall, and Timothy Damiani (Wendla) of Milford, PA.

In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Rev. Wesley and Naomi Clark; mother-in-law, Lydia Bryde; brothers, Ellis, Victor David, Paul, and John Damiani; brother-in-law, Richard Schaffer; nephew, Stephen Damiani; great-nephew, John Alderfer, Jr.; and great-niece, Hope Hughes.

Relatives and friends may call between 8:30 and 10:15 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Family Worship Center, 1000 Troxel Rd., Lansdale, PA 19446 followed by the Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m.

Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories.  Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Pete's memory to Family Worship Center, address above.
