Ruth M. Mack
2017-12-04

      Ruth M. (Bealer) Mack, 88, widow of Ralph Mack, Jr., of Pennsburg, passed

away on November 30, 2017 in her home.

      Born in Bethlehem R.D., Northampton County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Aaron and Bertha (Mease) Bealer.

      Ruth worked in the cafeteria at Harleysville Insurance Company for 12 years before retiring. 

      She was a 1947 graduate of East Greenville High School and longtime member of Salem United Methodist Church in Zionsville where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years.  She was also a member of the American Legion Post #184 Ladies Auxiliary in East Greenville and had been a Brownie Troop Leader for over 30 years.

      Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by her children, Lawrence R. Mack and wife, Joan of New Castle, DE, Karen A., wife of Richard Butterweck of Ocean Pines, MD and Daniel W. Mack and wife, Jewel of Pennsburg; six grandchildren, Denise Tennison, Kyle Butterweck, and Ezekiel, Joshua, Hannah and Esther Mack; and three great grandchildren, Tristan, Teagan, and Torin.  Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by a grandson, Daniel Mack, and seven brothers and five sisters.

      A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 with the Rev. Robin Roman officiating.  Burial follows in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Old Zionsville.  Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

      Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory as a cancer survivor to the American Cancer Society, Att: Relay for Life of Upper Perkiomen, 480 Norristown Road, Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422 or St. Peter's Lutheran Church Open Kettle Fund, 10301 Coastal Highway, Ocean City, MD, 21842.
